    Our forever started three years ago today. I don't remember everything that happened, but I'll never forget the joy I felt everytime I looked into my husband's eyes. I love you Brian Royal. You're still and will always be my best friend.

    As a little gift, I thought I'd share our song by Israel Nebeker of Blind Pilot. Israel played what we now refer to as our 'dating song', 'First Day of My Life' by Bright Eyes at our wedding reception. Later that day, he was inspired by us having a song that he started writing 'Three Rounds and a Sound'. Now we think of it as our 'marriage song'. Thank you Israel for giving us a beautiful gift and for letting us play it here.

As if it were yesterday, I can still see you walking away in that light purple polo.     As a little kid she played 'taxi-driver' in her parents' car.

    She has fierce green eyes.

    In high school, she held the record in push-ups. Yes, even against the football players.

    She's an amazing flautist.

    In the ten years that I played soccer, she attended all but four games. I'll never forget her support.

    She gives the best of pep talks.

    She's always pushed and encouraged me to go after my dreams. She's never stopped believing in me.

    When she wants to, she owns the room.

    She once drove an hour and twenty minutes out of the way to get me my favorite ice cream.

    She's got a quick wit.

    She's the hardest working and most dedicated person I've ever known. Anything she puts her mind to she achieves.

    I hope to be half the woman she is.

    I love you Mom. Happy Birthday!

    From my window, I see the sun bouncing off high-rises making quite the show, but it seems to dim as I step outside—yep, still cold. Luckily, blue sky or rain, I have this little ray of sunshine to warm me up and occasionally, but gently, bite me when he's not ready to be put down.
